How to practice Helldivers 2 stratagems
Practice a small set of stratagems with the controls you use in-game. Learn each sequence accurately first, then work on entering it faster. HellStrat lets you rehearse those directional inputs without starting a mission in Helldivers 2.
1. Match your controls
Open Settings and choose keyboard or gamepad input. Keyboard directions default to W, A, S, and D. You can switch to arrow keys or assign individual keys. For a controller, press a button so your browser detects it, then assign the gamepad bindings.
2. Choose what to rehearse
Return to the trainer and choose stratagems in the loadout panel. Focus on a few you actually bring into missions. Use the stratagem reference to check unfamiliar codes.
3. Build accuracy before speed
Ready up and enter the displayed directions in order. Start slowly enough to avoid guessing. If one sequence keeps tripping you up, rehearse that sequence before expanding your selection.
4. Review and repeat
Review your timing and accuracy in the results panel after a round. Try another short session with the same loadout, aiming for fewer errors before a faster time. Results are saved in this browser, not synced to a Helldivers account.
What the trainer cannot simulate
Direction practice does not recreate enemy pressure, positioning, cooldowns, or mission conditions. Use it to get familiar with the inputs, then practice applying them in Helldivers 2.
